2019 IEEE International Seasonal School on Physical Design Automation

 

1.    History

Sponsored by IEEE CASS, IEEE CEDA, and ACM SIGDA, the 1st and the 2nd IEEE International Seasonal School on Physical Design Automation were successfully held in 2017 and 2018, respectively. The international seasonal school aimed to offer a set of talks on key topics of physical design for integrated circuits (IC) in modern and upcoming technologies, including current and future challenges that are faced by industry and academia for the implementation of ever more complex circuits and systems. The goal was to promote discussion on hot topics and cover fundamental algorithms, computational methods, and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques in the area, so that the attendees could leverage their comprehension and capabilities, while attracting new students and researchers to the right problems. More than hundred students and scholars participated in the 2017 and the 2018 seasonal school on physical design automation, respectively.

2.    The 2019 Program

Followed by the programs in 2017 and 2018, the 3th IEEE International Seasonal School on Physical Design Automation will be held in Beijing, China, during July 29 August 2, 2019.

Purpose & Call for Participation

The 2019 IEEE International Seasonal School on Physical Design Automation offers 5-day lectures on key subjects related to physical design of integrated circuits (IC) in advanced technology nodes, covering not only fundamental algorithms, computational methods, and modern AI techniques, but also new challenges for the implementation of ever more complex circuits and systems. Undergraduates and postgraduates, specifically in EE/CS or other related fields, are encouraged to this program for enhancing their comprehension or capabilities and meeting the distinguished international researchers. Engineers and experts from both industry and academia are also very welcome to this program for exchanging experiences on problem formulation, algorithms, and product development.
